PAAC Ontario Presents: Ontario's Integrity Commissioner & Lobbyist Registrar

The Ontario Chapter of the Public Affairs Association of Canada is pleased to invite members to a virtual conversation with Cathryn Motherwell, Integrity Commissioner of Ontario and Lobbyist Registrar, on Monday, May 11.

Appointed by the Legislative Assembly in 2025, Commissioner Motherwell leads Ontario's independent oversight of lobbying, ethical conduct, and accountability. This timely discussion will provide insight into her early priorities, expectations for registrants, and approach to transparency and compliance within Ontario's lobbying framework.

Participants will hear directly from Commissioner Motherwell on:

  • The mandate and role of the Office of the Integrity Commissioner
  • Compliance trends and common issues affecting lobbyists
  • Best practices to support transparency and public trust
  • The evolving relationship between lobbyists, public office holders, and the public interest

The conversation will also include a moderated Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the Commissioner.

This event continues PAAC's longstanding tradition of fostering constructive, non‑partisan dialogue between public affairs professionals and Canada's lobbying oversight bodies.
