Taleesha Thorogood works on the Government Affairs team at Cenovus Energy, based out of the Calgary Office.
Previously, Taleesha worked at Crestview Strategy where she provided clients across multiple sectors with public affairs counsel. Taleesha also worked as a Senior Business Advisor serving clients in the government relations practice of an international law firm. She also brings experience from her time at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, where she improved the public's acceptance and understanding of the oil and natural gas sector through campaigns, communications, community engagement, and stakeholder relations. Before moving West and making Alberta home, Taleesha worked in federal politics. She completed her time in Ottawa in the strategic communications unit of the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition.
Taleesha has worked on multiple provincial, federal, and leadership campaigns. Most recently, she served as Director of Tour for a candidate during the United Conservative Party leadership contest. She served on the tour teams for the Conservative Party in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections and for the United Conservative Party in the 2019 Alberta provincial election. On these campaigns, she provided advance staffing for the leader's public engagements across the country and province.
Taleesha was named one of The Peak's Emerging Leaders in 2022.
